I’ve heard of Bio-Oil for a while now, but hadn’t actually tried it until recently, and I have to say I was really impressed. The pink oil (that in itself is so inviting!) is soft and silky and leaves a lovely yet subtle scent on the skin. One of the great things about this skin treatment is that it’s a multi- tasking product, making it great value for money. You can use it on your face or body and it can help your skin to recover from winter dehydration and improve the appearance of ageing skin, uneven skin tone, scars and stretch-marks. It’s so gentle that you can even use it while pregnant to minimise stretch marks and you can also use it in the bath as moisturising oil.
Bio-Oil’s formulation combines some great skincare staple ingredients, such as vitamin A and E with Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile oils. It also contains its unique PurCellin Oil™, which creates a dry oil to ensure the ingredients are easily-absorbed into the skin where they can provide targeted treatment. I take it to the gym and use it as a face, body and hand moisturiser, and it really does a good job. And with mother’s day around the corner I am thinking it could make a great practical gift…
