brighten up

Recent statistics show that up to 70 % of women in the UK would not feel confident going to work without a full face of make-up. But with the summer trend of naturally beautiful, bare skin perhaps it’s time to review our skin regime to get to the point where maybe we can just wear a hint of make-up, rather than a fully made-up face. Personally I only wear make-up in the winter when I look particularly pale, and my philosophy is to invest in simple and effective products and realistic regimes.

Exfoliating is a great way to ensure your skin is  deeply cleansed regularly, as any dead cells are discarded allowing for your skin to glow. I’ve been trying  the gentle apricot St. Ives Facial Scrub (particularly good for sensitive skin) once a week for a few weeks and really love how soft it leaves my skin feeling. When you mix it with water it creates a creamy texture that is very gentle and smells sweet and clean. Its key ingredients are hydrating apricot (known to contain one of the highest levels of carotenoids and super-effective antioxidants), corn kernel meal (which is actually flour ground from dried corn) and ground walnut (an amazingly effective, all-natural exfoliant).

St. Ives facial scrubs are made with 100% natural exfoliants and extracts that deeply cleanse meaning that you really will have younger, fresher, and healthier looking skin which glows in just 7 days.
