Starflower’s star oil

Sometimes only the purest of products will do, especially when it comes to face oils. I recently came across this brand and was very impressed by its quality, so I wanted to spread the word… It’s called Lovea and has a collection of multi-functional oils that are great for healthy skin. I tried the Borage Oil, which was lightweight and felt lovely when I applied it. Borage oil (or Starflower oil) is rich in vitamins A and E as well as omega-6, which reduces ‘trans-epidermal water loss’, plumping and nourishing the skin. It also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and  restores softness, suppleness and radiance to it. It can be used on the face or on the body and is a great alternative to a lotion or cream. I’ve actually stopped using creams recently as I find oils much more effective, especially during the summer months. Personally I like the fact that they’re absorbed more easily and that they provide long-lasting moisturisation.

Free of harsh synthetics, Lovea’s multi-functional beauty essentials use 100% natural cold-pressed oils and are ultra-rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins A&E and antioxidants, helping to regenerate and revitalise – revealing younger looking skin.

The Lovea product range is formulated with nature’s finest ingredients. They’re super-nourishing and lock in moisture, increasing the skin’s elasticity and improving texture and radiance to the complexion.

The Lovea Borage Oil  is priced at £9.99 for 50ml
Available at www.mypure.co.uk, Wholefoods and all good health food stores.
