I love a body good scrub, and in my time I’ve tried quite a few, but I have to say – hand on heart – that this is one of the best I’ve come across. Some of you know that I’ve recently had a baby and when I got home I was really looking forward to a good shower that included a nourishing scrub, so I gave the new Elemis Sp@home skin nourishing Body Scrub a go. After washing my hair I stopped the water running for a few minutes whilst I applied the product (a generous amount on each hand) and scrubbed my way up in circular motions all the way un to my neck. This is great for one’s circulation, to exfoliate away any dead skin cells and to generally feel more invigorated. The texture and creaminess of this scrub is perfectly balanced making the experience feel almost like a massage, and it smells soft, subtle and slightly decadent. By the end of the sower, my skin felt so great, nourished and soft, that I’ve been repeating the treatment on a weekly basis. If you’re wondering what the key ingredients are, they include rice, bora bora sand, bamboo, cherry and apricot powder to gently exfoliate, milk protein to balance and sweet almond and wheat germ to soften and nourish the skin.
It’s a luxury to have a long shower these days, as anyone with a newborn will tell you, but with such great home spa products available it’s easy to make the most of it by recreating a luxurious experience in the comfort of your very own bathroom – even if it’s short and sweet! I strongly recommend this product if you enjoy body scrubs or if your skin feels overall sluggish. It will definitely blow the cobwebs away and get you ready for summer sun, and like all Elemis products you’ll love it and so will your skin.
